The Apollo theatre has been running since 1972, when John and Patricia Hancock organised the purchase of the Methodist church in Pyle Street. With the help of family members, business, friends old and new, they created a theatre full of potential to give the Island great theatrical space and a safe social environment to work in. 40 years later the theatre is still going strong. Putting on productions that are new and exciting. Always looking for new people to join and help, share knowledge and experience.
Every year the Apollo Players put on a main season of seven shows.
