The Bay CE School is bringing to life Matilda Jr on 6th and 7th July 2023. Children and adults will be thrilled and delighted by the story of this special little girl with an extraordinary imagination. It is a must see and is packed with high-energy dance numbers and catchy songs. We have a cast of brilliantly talented performers who will blow you away. They have put in so much hard work and effort for your entertainment!
Join the revolt in this junior adaptation of the Olivier Award-winning hit! Matilda Jr
is the story of a girl who dreams of a better life and the children she inspires will have audiences rooting for the ‘revolting children’ who are out to teach the grown-ups a lesson.
Matilda has astonishing wit, intelligence… and special powers! She’s unloved by her cruel parents but impresses her schoolteacher, the highly loveable Miss Honey. Matilda’s school life isn’t completely smooth sailing, however – the school’s mean headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, hates children and just loves thinking up new punishments for those who don’t abide by her rules. But Matilda has courage and cleverness in equal amounts, and could be the school pupils’ saving grace!

* Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical JR. is adapted from the full-length musical which was based on the book by Roald Dahl, and features a book by Dennis Kelly and music and lyrics by Tim Minchin.
* The show opened on the West End in 2011 and made its Broadway premiere in 2013.
* The musical earned seven Olivier Awards, including “Best New Musical,” and five Tony awards, including The Tony for “Best Book of a Musical.”
