CAODS at Trinity Theatre are staging ‘Sea Stories’ – two atmospheric and entertaining short plays set in Brook, featuring music. The plays were written by local author Kevin Wilson (under his pen name Heaton), who is also directing.
In The Telescope, Sarah and Charles have moved to the Island for some quality time. Their plans are spoiled by Peter, a loner who spends his days looking through a telescope. Sarah is convinced he’s watching them. But when tragedy strikes, he and Charles look through the telescope, and find friendship.
The Souvenir tells the stories of the captain of the Souvenir, who refuses to leave his ship when it runs aground off the Island in the 19th century (a true story); and, in the present day, Alan, who is trying to build a new life away from his wife Helen, and becomes fascinated by shipwrecks.
Sea Stories will be performed at Trinity Theatre, at 7.30pm on March 14th, 19th, 20th and 21st, and at 3pn on March 15th and 22nd.
