PREVIEW: Commemorative D-Day Proms concert comes to Medina Theatre in aid of the Royal British Legion

To commemorate the 80th Anniversary of D-Day, MAX Events and Curtain Call Creative present the D-Day Proms at Medina Theatre on Saturday 1st June, in aid of the Royal British Legion.

Expect an evening of powerful music, songs and words that commemorate the decisive day in history and the people that were part of it. Performed by a 35 piece theatre orchestra, conducted by Andrew Woodford, the musicians will be joined by a compere for the evening alongside students from Curtain Call Creative to mark this special occasion.

As well as the traditional times from the war time era that you’d expect such as A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square and We’ll Meet Again, the programme will also include other titles such as Rule Britannia, Land of Hope and Glory, Jerusalem, Cavalleria Rusticana, Nimrod, Fantasia, Saving Private Ryan and Pirates of the Caribbean.

We can’t wait to welcome you to this show with a traditional Proms finale.
