All in all, for Lloyd-Webber aficionados this is a must-see for the Bank Holiday weekend; and if you’ve never heard of Cats, go along and support these felines and treat yourself to a first viewing of one of the longest-running musicals in history – but be quick, as there aren’t many tickets left!
The infectiously energetic cast, comprised entirely of young Island performers (and Bobby Oddy) tackled Rodgers & Hammerstein’s timeless classic with a sophistication beyond their years – remaining consistently impressive across scenes both harrowing and hilarious.
This is the first summer workshop from the Island Savoyards. The audience of family and friends were very impressed. We all hope that we can look forward to another summer school next year. In the meantime, the children should be congratulated and feel very proud of their summer school performance.
