Being a person who believes in God, Miracles and Heaven, I was told I might find it offensive. I was intrigued. What I saw was a brilliant play performed superbly by a wonderful cast. I hardly blinked from the swearing, you hear worse on the streets and in films.
Without giving too much away, as I want people to go see this play, basically a young woman superbly portrayed by Imogen Evans finds herself 6 months pregnant yet hasn’t had sex for over 9 months. Her shock, confusion and frustration was well portrayed throughout the play. How? Why? Who? Gabriel’s God. Lucifer. Ex boyfriend Michael. Gary the nerd. Have fun guessing.
Hebe Gregory played Mia’s best friend Rebecca competently as a very typical best friend. Dan Pressey confidently played ex boyfriend Michael. His mobile ring tone made me smile as did his one sided phone conversation, while Mia, Gabriel and Lucifer tried to eavesdrop.

Carl Burch in his striped boxer shorts was hilarious as Angel Gabriel. His sparkly Halo constantly slipping off. He was obviously relishing his role as was Olly Fry brilliantly cast as a delicious Lucifer. He was evil yet adorable too. One of the funniest moments and there were plenty was Mark Rufus entrance. Doing a take off of John Travoltas night fever dance, not sure if that was intentional. Mark gave an assured performance of Gary Goodman. a nerd from Mia’s old school. So who is the father? You decide.
High praise for Director Vicki Cook and Assistant Helen Reading. This is one play not to miss. It ends its run on the 14 February. As a religious person, was I offended? No. I was thoroughly entertained by this talented and superb cast.
