PREVIEW: ‘Wind in the Willows’ – Get OnStage

What begins as a quiet spring morning soon becomes an unforgettable adventure in the world of Wind in the Willows.

When Mole emerges from his underground home in search of something new, he discovers the beauty of the riverbank and quickly forms an unlikely friendship with the cheerful and loyal Ratty. Together they explore the countryside, meet the wise and dependable Badger, and find themselves constantly trying to keep one step ahead of their friend Mr Toad.

Toad is wealthy, charming and full of enthusiasm — but unfortunately he is also obsessed with whatever new craze happens to catch his attention. Whether it is punting, boats, caravans, or the latest motor car, Toad’s impulsive behaviour soon lands him in more trouble than he could ever imagine.

As Toad’s reckless adventures spiral out of control, his beloved Toad Hall falls into the hands of the troublesome Weasels and Stoats. With their friend’s home under threat, Mole, Ratty and Badger must put aside their differences and embark on a daring mission to restore order and save Toad Hall before it is too late.

Filled with humour, friendship, adventure and heart, Wind in the Willows is a timeless tale celebrating loyalty, courage and the importance of home. Audiences can expect memorable characters, toe-tapping 1920’s inspired musical numbers, laughter and a few surprises along the way.
